Our latest Symposium was another fascinating evening of learning and networking for our North Texas farmers, ranchers, and local food enthusiasts! This time we welcomed Dr. David Montgomery, MacArthur Fellow and professor of geomorphology at the University of Washington.

We had our summer Supper with a Cause at The Heard Museum on June 9th, and it was a night to remember! The Seed Project Foundation hosted 80 wonderful people that came for one reason, to support The Heard.

Hooray! After COVID in 2020 and a stretch of rainy weekends in 2021, we were finally able to host our beloved Farm Tour again! This year’s tour was one for the books.

The Summer Supper with a Cause was a sold-out event and all of the proceeds went to buying McKinney Roots a new lawnmower!

Harvest Seasonal Kitchen hosted another pair of sold-out Suppers with a Cause in support of McKinney Roots! The seasonal spring menu was curated by Chef Andrea with the best offerings from our local farms, paired with wines and seasonal cocktails to make for a perfect evening.

It was not the year any of us expected, to say the least. Our hearts go out to everyone who has lost loved ones and livelihoods to this terrible virus. Somehow, despite the unimaginable hardships and losses we have suffered, there have been bright spots of goodness through it all.
