SWAC | Summer 2021

July 22nd, 2021

The Summer Supper with a Cause was a sold-out event and all of the proceeds went to buying McKinney Roots a new lawnmower!

Summer was good to McKinney Roots; they are well over 5,000 pounds of produce, and 2,200 dozen eggs donated.

Although less daylight is in the future they are looking forward to lower temperatures and cool-season crops to pair with their eggs to continue the mission of donating fresh, local, organic produce to those in need.

If you would like to volunteer at McKinney Roots, they have volunteer days Monday, Thursday, and Saturdays. Sign-up on their website today!

Chef Andrea blew everyone out of the water with her outstanding menu, Toby wowed the guests as always with his cocktail pairings, and Jennifer put her heart and soul into decorating the tables with flowers she grew at Waterboy Farms.

To our community, thank you so much for attending and supporting us! It means the world that you join us for these dinners.

We will not be having a Supper with a Cause in the Fall because we are hosting our annual Gala in the Garden on October 16th. Tickets are on sale now and will be limited, so get yours before they are gone.

If you haven’t already, join our email list so you can be the first one to know about our upcoming events!
