Supper with a Cause Spring 2024

Our spring Supper with a cause was moving to say the least. We got together on a Thursday evening in May to support Jason Hernandez at La Tiendita (The Little Store.”

Jason turned a once-troubled corner in McKinney into a thriving community gathering spot. Jason and La Tiendita have many initiatives that we were so excited to share with our community.

All proceeds of our Supper with a Cause helped Jason provide healthy food options and invest in the future of our community through workforce development programs and internships for Latino youth.

Support of La Tiendita is crucial for our community. It supports the underserved by providing them with fresh produce that they normally can’t access. In addition, it also helps the local youth by learning how to handle food and prepare nutrient-dense food to purchase in the little store.

The room was inspired all evening hearing Jason speak about his mission and how passionate he is about his community and providing a safe space for young people. By supporting Jason, you are supporting your community which will bleed into the future of McKinney.

Our featured Spring artist is Marianna Bravo. Her captivating artwork was introduced at Supper with a Cause and will hang in Chef Dre’s dining room for our spring season of 2024.
