Winter SWAC 2025
Winter Supper With a Cause 2025 was an incredible evening at Harvest at The Masonic. The beneficiary of the event was the McKinney Roots - McKinney Independent School District (MISD) 2nd-grade field trip program. With a mission to teach all second-grade students in MISD where their food comes from, what it means to be a volunteer, and the importance of donating to those in need. Super Intendent, Shawn Pratt, was the key-note speaker for the event and spoke about the great impact the program has had on the 1,600 second-grade students and their teachers and how McKinney Roots integrates math and science into the program.
The featured artist of the winter season, Brian Magnuson, was on-site to speak about his military service, how he became an artist, his favorite mediums, and his artistic style.

Farmers and Ranchers featured were Profound Micro Farms, lettuce and flowers; Homestead Gristmills, grits; Rehoboth Ranch, pork; Hooser Meats, beef; and Water Boy Farms, herbs.
Chef Andrea Shackelford described the evening’s courses to include the ingredients, cooking method, and flavors that she personally curated for the season, along with Lanier Anderson, who described each wine paired with the meal’s taste, body, aroma, and flavor.
