SWAC | Winter 2024

Our first Supper With a Cause at our new Harvest location felt perfectly at home in Chef Andreas personally designed private dining room. From the captivating table arrangements to the delightful food, service, and wine, we couldn't have hoped for a better event with our loyal donors. Our mission to raise funds for a cause that resonates deeply with so many made this event all the more gratifying.

McKinney Roots is projected to produce an impressive 31,000 lbs. of produce and 9,000 dozen eggs this year, directly supporting an average of 350 families each week. This underscores the tangible impact of our work in the community.

The proceeds from this dinner will go towards creating shade infrastructure on our farm. This enhancement is crucial for our upcoming MISD field trip program and providing relief for our dedicated volunteers during the scorching Texas summers.

Chef Andrea’s Private dining room located on the second floor of Harvest at The Masonic.

Rick took time to show gratitude to some very important people in our organization. We cannot work toward our mission without a team of dedicated individuals who love our work and our community. Megan Neubauer and Vicki Deerman, thank you for all you have done to push our mission forward.

Farmer Tucker spoke about our work and what it means to him. As a new dad, he often spends sleepless nights rocking his baby boy, reflecting on our mission. If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Tucker, sign up to volunteer and spend a day with him. You won’t regret it. His farm dog Bonnie will be right by your side as you spend the day at McKinney Roots.

We're eagerly anticipating a year filled with purpose and impact in 2024.

Ready to get involved? Visit our McKinney Roots website to find out how you can donate or volunteer.
