Rick’s Fifteen-Year Anniversary Party

April 26, 2022

Fifteen years ago, Rick Wells decided to open a steakhouse in the heart of McKinney, not knowing what impact it would eventually have on the community. Rick has always been a philanthropist at heart, but it wasn’t until a long bike ride on a backroad where he decided, “Why not give back to everyone?” On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, Rick’s Fifteen-Year Anniversary Party raised over $200,000 and gave back to 31 different charities in our area.

Over 300 attendees were greeted with specialty cocktails provided by Deep Eddy Vodka before entering our main dining room to enjoy a gorgeous seafood display. Heading into the lounge, our guests were entertained by Lynne Cadena on piano while sipping cocktails and meandering through our silent auction.

Our room Rick’s 110 was filled with Rick’s Chophouse staples from over the last 15 years. Chophouse Salads, Mexican Street Corn, our famous Onion Rings and of course our slow cooked, salt crusted Prime Rib, just to name a few. Wyatt Martin kept the room filled with great energy with his solo guitar act.

As the night went on, guests had their butts sketched in the hotel lobby and the Ballroom slowly filled for our live auction. Local Yocal’s own Matt Hamilton lead the auction with great entertainment. Guests bid on trips around the world, cocktail parties in our restaurants and intimate dinners held on our farms.

Buzz Andrews Band played a set after the auction that ended a night that no one will soon forget. We are humbled by the number of attendees that showed up for our cause. It is because of people like you that we can continue to do what we do to make this world a better place.
