Harvest’s Five-Year Anniversary Party
September 18, 2019
It was a celebration of all things Harvest. Over a dozen of the farmers and ranchers that grow food for the restaurant were in attendance, alongside many of Harvest’s greatest supporters over the last five years. Several artists and artisans were in attendance as well, including Paul Ernest, who’s stunning images of North Texas agriculture on the walls have become synonymous with Harvest itself.
Chef Andrea and her team pulled out all the stops in the kitchen, featuring everyone’s favorite dishes from the last five years; chicken fried steak, Creole shrimp, and those famous deviled eggs. Among the farms featured in the menu were K Bar K, Profound Microfarms, and Cartermere Farms.
Matt Hamilton from Local Yocal led the evening’s live auction from the top of the bar. Through the generosity of our community, over $60,000 was raised for the Seed Project Foundation to fund sustainable local causes and projects. We are accepting grant applications from now through December 31st for grants to be awarded in January of 2020.
Jerry Don Branch killed it with his guitar for the evening’s entertainment, even enjoying a little duet with McKinney Mayoress Maylee Thomas!
