Event Cancellations for Spring

March 22, 2020

Out of an abundance of caution and to help flatten the curve of Covid-19, we are cancelling all of our upcoming events through May. We are incredibly disappointed, but public safety and suppression of this virus is critical.

Our Farm Crisis Fund board has been busy helping local farmers map out plans to survive this crisis. A large percentage of local farmers and ranchers sell more than ninety percent of what they produce to restaurants; with restaurants and most markets closed, there is nowhere for them to sell their products anymore. Some are getting creative with pickup and delivery options, but the difficulty of suddenly changing their entire business model is compounded by the requirements of social distancing and sheltering in place. It is the mission of our Farm Crisis Fund to ensure that the people who grow our food can resume doing so when life “goes back to normal.”

We have a number of new partnerships with local nonprofits to tell you about, and hope you will help us support our shared community through this crisis. If you are able to donate, please do so at the link below so we can keep our community fed and our farmers from going out of business.

Over the coming days, there will be many other ways you can help. Please sign up for our mailing list below to help. Thank you, and stay safe.
